The conference will be held at St Catherine's College, Oxford.

 

 

Accommodation

Price: Single en-suite room costs £108.02 per night plus VAT (20%).

Room summary: This is an en-suite study bedroom with its own shower room. The room is serviced every day and comes with linen, towels, tea and coffee making facilities as well as toiletries. Hair Dryers and adapters can be hired/purchased from the Porters Lodge. Regrettably, parking will not be available.

Breakfast will be available throughout the event for accommodation guests.

By plane:

The nearest airport to Oxford is London Heathrow, which has direct regular bus services to the city (see the bus section below). Oxford is also reachable from London Gatwick, London Stansted, London Luton, and Birmingham airports. Direct buses run to Gatwick, Stansted, and Luton, or you can travel by train via London. Birmingham Airport is connected by Birmingham International Station, and Oxford is about one hour away by train.

By train:

Oxford is well-connected via train. Direct trains to/from either London Paddington or London Marylebone take approximately 1 hour. Other cities with direct services include Reading, Birmingham and Manchester. As there are many train operators in the UK, thetrainline.com is a commonly used third-party website for journey planning and ticket purchases.

By bus:

Many, if not all of the long-distance bus services depart from Gloucester Green Bus Station. the airline offers direct buses to/from Heathrow and Gatwick airports. The best stop for St Catherine's College and some other city centre locations is High Street/Queens Lane, while Headington, St Clement's, or Gloucester Green ("Glo-ster Green") are other options that may suit depending on accommodation. When handing over your luggage to the coach driver, you will be quizzed on your stop, so best to be prepared. National Express also offers direct buses to/from Luton and Stansted airports. Other local Oxford bus services also depart from Gloucester Green as well as throughout the city, with contactless payment accepted on board.

By taxi:

Uber is operational within Oxford. Local taxi firms include 001 Taxis, A1 Taxis, and Royal Cars. Taxi ranks are also situated directly outside Oxford train station.
